Attendance at the Best Athletes Awards Ceremony organized by the Cyprus Sports Writers Association (16th January)

On January 16^th, Ambassador Nakatsugawa attended the Best Athletes Awards Ceremony hosted by Cyprus Sports Writers Association at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.

This Awards Ceremony is the most prestigious sports event in Cyprus, with many of the top athletes and persons involved in the world of sport. There was a large attendance and honorable guests, including the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nikos Anastasiades and the President of Cypriot Parliament Mr. Demeklis Syllouris.

The athletes who had the best performances last year and qualified for Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games were awarded.

At the reception following the awards ceremony, the Embassy of Japan offered sushi and sake to promote upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
