Abolition of the ‘Confirmation Letter’ & promotion of the ‘Fast Track' and ‘Visit Japan Web'

Apprentices and students who have been issued a ‘Certificate of Eligibility’ without the "2022" in red, as well as their host managers, were previously required to submit a “Letter of Confirmation” in order to use “Fast track” and “Visit Japan Web” for visa application.
In accordance with the "New Measures for Strengthening Waterfront Measures (34)" (26 September 2022), applicants are no longer required to submit an application using the Entry-Registered Personnel Health Verification System (ERFS), as this has been terminated, and so submission of a “Letter of Confirmation” is no longer necessary.
This measure will apply as of 11 October.
