On 17 November 2025, Ambassador Iwasaki received Mr. Khassim Diagne, Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP). Ambassador Iwasaki expressed his warm welcome for Mr. Diagne and Japan’s continuous support for the role of the United Nations in Cyprus.
