On 19 January of 2026, Ambassador Satoshi Iwasaki paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Cyprus Police, Mr. Themistos Arnaoutis. Mr. Arnaoutis warmly welcomed Ambassador Iwasaki to Cyprus and provided a comprehensive overview of the current security situation in the Republic of Cyprus.
Ambassador Iwasaki conveyed his gratitude to Mr. Arnaoutis for ensuring the safety of Japanese residents in Cyprus and expressed his wish to maintain and strengthen the cooperative relationship between the Embassy and the Cyprus Police.
