Courtesy visit of Ambassador Iwasaki to Mayor of Nicosia

On 2 March 2026, Ambassador Satoshi Iwasaki paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Nicosia, Mr. Charalambos Prountzos. The Mayor presented his future goals and challenges in revitalising Nicosia and explained the importance of attracting campuses of foreign and domestic universities, tourism, transportation, and more foreign businesses. They also exchanged their views on future cooperation in the fields of culture, research and innovation.
