The Embassy of Japan in Cyprus announces that the Japanese Film Screenings will be held throughout November. Three of the screenings will take place at Pantheon Theatre in Nicosia and one the screening will be at Rialto Theatre in Limassol and admission will be free for all. Reservations are not required.
The following films will be screened in the span of four weeks, on Tuesday, and only for one time each:

Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko

The heartwarming and moving comedy drama of an unconventional family – a not - so - ordinary mother – and - daughter pair who live their lives to the fullest. The same routine day after day. But one day she borrowed books from the neighborhood library and Momoko’s lonely life turns merry and delightful.

Hadashi (meaning ‘barefoot’) is a high-school girl who adores samurai movies and Japanese costume drama. One day Hadashi meets Rintaro, who is an ideal actor for the lead samurai role in a movie she wrote. Hadashi and her two best friends, persuade Rintaro to star in the movie, also gathering unique cast and crew. However, during production, Hadashi finds out that Rintaro is a time-traveler from the future!
